This film was to follow a boy who is separated from his father during World War II. The boy discovers the Isle of Sodor, where he meets Thomas the Tank Engine and ventures out to find his father. It was to be the second film in the franchise (after Thomas and the Magic Railway in 2000) and was set to be released in 2010. Due to multiple production issues, the film was constantly delayed until it was canceled in 2015 , when HIT Entertainment closed and sold its property to Mattel.
